The Cudy AP1200 Outdoor is an Indoor/Outdoor AC1200 Wi-Fi Access Point designed to extend high-speed wireless coverage to external spaces like backyards, gardens, and outdoor cafés. It provides a ruggedized, weatherproof design paired with flexible networking modes to easily fill coverage gaps.

Key Specifications

  • Wireless Performance: Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 speeds up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. It utilizes MU-MIMO and Beamforming technologies to optimize connections to multiple devices simultaneously.

  • Hardware Interface: Equipped with 1× 10/100M Fast Ethernet WAN/LAN Port and two detachable RP-SMA omnidirectional antennas.

  • Power Supply: Powered via 24V Passive PoE (Power over Ethernet), and the required PoE injector/adapter is included in the package.

  • Capacity: Supports up to 128 maximum simultaneous connections, with a recommended threshold of 30 active users

Environmental & Weatherproof Protections

Built to survive harsh external environments, the hardware features:

  • IP65 Weatherproof Housing: Sealed tightly against dust entry and water splashes, provided the unit is mounted vertically.

  • Temperature Range: Operates reliably in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 65°C (-40°F to 149°F).

  • Electrical Safeguards: Features 4 kV Lightning/Surge protection and 8/15 kV Contact/Air ESD protection to shield internal circuitry during thunderstorms.

4-in-1 Operational Modes

The device can be configured through its web interface (http://cudyap.net) into four functional layouts depending on your network layout:

  1. Access Point (AP) Mode: Connects to your main router via an Ethernet cable to broadcast a fresh outdoor Wi-Fi signal.

  2. Range Extender (RE) Mode: Links wirelessly to your existing indoor Wi-Fi network to repeat and boost the signal into the yard without running a long cable.

  3. Router Mode: Acts as a standard network router directly handling internet traffic allocation.

  4. WISP Mode: Wirelessly connects to a Wireless Internet Service Provider to share that connection with local wired or wireless devices.
